Baby Watch

When our baby Benjamin was born the first question that came to my mind was “what’s next?”, and I felt the answer was: “PRAY!” I believe the Lord has set us apart as new parents to raise up an army of parents to stand in the gap for our kids, to cover them in prayers and to claim the promises of God for their lives. I believe every time we pray for them and with them, we are building up a wall of protection in their lives as we also root in their little hearts who they are in Messiah Yeshua. I remember the day I found out I was pregnant the first scripture the Lord led me to was Psalm 78:

“We will not hide them  from our children. We will tell the next generation about the LORD’S power and great deeds and the miraculous things he has done. He established written instructions for Jacob’s people. He gave his teachings to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to make them known to their children so that the next generation would know them. Children yet to be born would learn them. They will grow up and tell their children to trust God, to remember what he has done, and to obey his commands. Then they will not be like their ancestors, a stubborn and rebellious generation.” (Psa 78:4-8)

The Baby Watch, as we called it, has transformed our lives in the past 6 months. Babies still in their mother’s womb were prayed for and now they are becoming part of our watches. We’ve also extended our prayers towards our marriage, praying and blessing our spouses. We have been carrying each other’s burdens, praying for each other’s needs, helping each other to grow in a deeper relationship and dependence in the Lord to be the godly parents we were called to be. Our aim is to bring honor and glory to the Father in Heaven as we raise up our children in the fear and reverence of the Lord to fulfill the their destinies and their callings, to be all God created them to be.

Every time we get together to worship and to pray Scriptures over our children, we are teaching them who God is, what He has done and what He has planned for them so they can grow up putting their trust in the Lord and shinning their lights to make a difference in their generation and in the generations to come. We are meeting every Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm at the Pavilion Prayer Tower in Jerusalem and we would love for you to join us! We pray over 150 Scriptures for our little ones while Ryan Willis and Bethany Cohen lead us in worship. It is a real blessed time in His presence as we seek His face and bring our children to His throne.
